I purchased this reel from Don at Tackle Shack this spring and thought I would take a minute to review it. It is a Lew's model 400. The gear ratio is 5.2:1. I have never tried this brand of reel but for 40 bucks it looked and felt very nice at the shop. What really sold me for that price is it comes with an extra spool that in made entirely of metal and not some cheap plastic. I fish alot of braid for certain fish and it doesn't take long to wear a grove in the spool, so having a an extra spool that is the same quality as the first one is awesome. After using the reel for some time now it is still as smooth as the day I bought it. The drag system is also super smooth. The 400 model is perfect for anything from fishing 4-6lb line for trout, to ripping walleye's off the bottom with 10-30lbs braid.
The line on this is 6lb trout line made by Leland Lures. Very nice line that seems to disappear in the water.

modified the title to include the reel model. Thanks for the review. These reels have really impressed me. Like you said, the extra metal spool is a big plus. That is rare to see in a mid range reel. The anti-reverse on these reels is great, the drags are very smooth, and they are constructed very, very well. I am looking forward to expanding this line in the shop!
