Yes, from the spillway down is all good. Above Tioga Lake is good through the channel, but as you get back towards mansfield, it is all mine drainage water. It is like that all the way down to Blossburg. The very upper reaches of the Tioga River though are good trout water.

Looking to take a trip and fish the spillway soon. Is there an address to the spillway or a hotel close by there to spend the night? Please someone help me? Heard soo much about this spillway and want to experience it. Thanks!
I don't know about a specific address, but it is located just south of the town of Tioga, and is on the north end of Tioga/Hammond dam (look on google maps) and just north of Mansfield. There are a couple of hotels in Mansfield, again a google search might help you out.
mf, Tried it yesterday and have little positive to report. Flows increased enough to push out the rotten material but not enough to push out any fish. I would (am going to) wait for rain. Last year at this time we had gotten a lot of September rain which made for very good fishing for this time of year. This year the resevoirs are really low and need some really good storms to bring them back up to where the flows are good. Good luck, Post how you did.
